Working with the existing franchise concept of Expert
Challenge
The electronics store in ‘s-Heerenberg is part of Expert, a franchise retail formula. Previously located a few streets away, they have now moved into an old bank building. This is immediately apparent when you stand in front of the building, as it is surrounded by large security posts. The task for Decoproject was to transform the space into an electronics store!
With the Expert franchise strategy
Approach
One of our designers created a fitting design for the new Expert store in ‘s-Heerenberg, within the guidelines of the Expert franchise. We were required to incorporate certain elements, such as the recognizable orange color, visibility of the logo, the design of the counter, and product podiums. Based on the existing concept, we made several adjustments in consultation with the store owner in ‘s-Heerenberg.
Clear with appropriate lighting
Result
From the entrance, the store feels very open, bright, and organized. The clear navigation of the product groups allows customers to easily find their way. The balance between the number of products and the “empty space” is well executed. While many products are displayed, the store never feels overcrowded. We also utilized (LED) lighting, which is integrated along all the orange lines in the ceiling details and in the product shelves. This ensures the products are beautifully highlighted.
The built-in wall
The built-in wall, with space on both sides to showcase products both in the store and on the facade, is immediately noticeable upon entering. It has a modern look, thanks to the steel, wood, and Expert-orange compartments.

Collaboration
In the end, the result is sleek and fresh. A perfect mix of the franchisee’s taste and Decoproject’s design expertise, all within the guidelines of Expert. With the new store layout, we expect the employees to be able to serve their customers even more efficiently.
